Meet The Members 2022

Elwin Butler
Composition, composition, composition is the constant advise handed out by Elwin. When you get stuck on a painting Elwin suggests that you take your "pencil for a walk" stand back and have a look before before starting again.
His own work captures joy in his depiction of multiple small people enjoying a carnival or concert while other works are mort abstract with mythical creatures

Penny Craig

Enjoys painting seascapes around Scotts Head. Lately Penny has been painting forest/bushland scenes.

Margaret Usher

Our very own version of Margaret Olley. The two have a similar style as well as a similar name.

Has recently been dabbling with animal caricatures.

Bruce Redman

Has a technical background in engineering so he likes a straight line in his works. Of recent times has taken to portraits.

Deb

She can execute 10 paintings in 30 minutes. Simple strokes with few colours that while abstract are easily identifiable objects.

Linda
Enjoys painting simple shapes and basic colours such as you find in a cliff face. The end result maybe abstract maybe not.

Jean
Her work has a glow to it as Jean likes to use a warm pink colour in her backgrounds.

Lorraine
Likes to tackle difficult subjects. By that I mean detailed landscapes.

Shirley
The drawer. If you want detailed drawings or plants or animals Shirley can do it.

Sarah
Has found her niche in abstract painting. Sarah develops her paintings by reworking shapes until she is satisfied. Sometimes straight lines other works are circular. All are strong colours.

Craig
His simple shapes are appealing. Craig's version of cars, trucks, planes and ships are unique.

Chris
Enjoys a range of painting style. Realistic art with a hint of mystery.

John
Simple shapes whether trees or animals very precisely painted.

Ross
Has found enjoyment in miniatures, partly because she won first prize at the Macksville Agricultural Show in 2022 and partly because there is less to do.

Karen
Karen is developing her style. So far miniatures in watercolour are preferred.
